Emily and Paul - Pre-wedding shoot

Everyone has their own ideas about what a pre-wedding shoot is for and what they want to get from it. Personally, I've always avoided offering engagement shoots in favour of a meeting with the wedding clients, usually at the venue, with my camera in tow. I find it best to keep it informal and relaxed - much like I do at weddings. First and foremost the meeting is to get to know each other a little bit better before the wedding, and by taking a few shots I can demonstrate how I work and get an understanding of how comfortable couples are in front of the lens.

Emily and Paul's wedding is taking place at Meol's Hall in Southport this coming weekend. I met with them last month at the venue to have a walk around, have a little bit of a chat to run over last minute decisions and to take a few photographs. I love how happy they look in the pictures. They make each other laugh. I can't wait to head back over to Southport this weekend to cover their wedding photography.

Look out for their wedding photos on this blog in a couple of weeks.
